I've now gotten
AIDE running on a second Windows/
Cygwin system, still in a testing phase. I still have the "baseline" database and config file local, for simplicity of testing the basics and getting some experience in. It's a nice, simple solution. I've added the package "email" to my Cygwin install, and created an AIDE check script that will email the results. It'll be nice to hand over a simple, easy to understand package to our operations group. Security and monitoring both tend to be complicated muck for those whose primary job is not security.
