My last post got me thinking. I blog the same way I write documentation for systems I build. I assume the reader knows nothing (a close mark when writing to myself) and I tend to get good results because the doc includes more bits that would normally be assumed. When you read an old doc, sometimes your perspective has changed and the assumptions left out are now important for context, or even forgotten facts. So, writing myself articles as a way of saving solutions, hints and details is probably going to be a nice archive over time. Writing a note on a post it is very temporary, and tends to be so terse that it's quickly useless. This blog, however, gets more detail, acts as my reference, and causes me to think about the topic more thouroghly as I write.
